After the café closes, Sub-Station Rosebery is all yours. Available for exclusive evening hire seven days a week, with low minimum spend requirements, the venue offers an intimate and affordable setting for private celebrations and events.

Overlooking Turruwul Park, the leafy surrounds, warm evening lighting and connected indoor and covered outdoor spaces create a relaxed backdrop for engagement parties, milestone birthdays, intimate wedding receptions and corporate events.

With flexible spaces for seated dinners or cocktail party-style celebrations, the Sub-Station team takes care of everything from food and drinks to service, so you can relax and enjoy the occasion.

THE SPACE

65 seated | up to 110 cocktail 

Exclusive use of the entire venue can accommodate up to 65 seated guests or 110 cocktail-style.

Gather around long tables for an intimate dinner, kick off the evening with drinks in the leafy courtyard, or bring both spaces together for a larger celebration. With flexible layouts to suit your guest numbers and event style, there's plenty of room for dining, drinks, speeches and dancing.

Buffets, Canapés And Pizza

Choose from generous buffet dining or roaming canapés, with menus tailored to your guest numbers and style of celebration. For something a little different, ask about adding our live pizza experience, with pizzas prepared and cooked fresh during your event.

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options can be accommodated, with beer, wine and cocktails also available.

FAQS

  • Events can start from 4:30pm and must finish by 11:30pm.

  • Deposits are fully refundable for cancellations made seven days or more before your event. Cancellations made within seven days receive a 50% refund, while cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will result in the full deposit being forfeited.

  • Evening functions have a minimum spend from $4,400. Final pricing will depend on the date, guest numbers and food and beverage selections.

  • Functions are held after the café closes, with start and finish times confirmed according to your chosen date and event requirements.

  • You’re welcome to discuss cakes, styling and decorations with our team. Any entertainment or additional suppliers will need to be approved before the event.

  • Street parking is available around the venue and in the surrounding Rosebery area. Sub-Station also offers step-free access and accessible facilities.
